Joburg Zoo's keepers will be holding a series of talks on some of the endangered animals in the Zoo's care on Sunday, 31 May.

Learn about endangered species at the Zoo

The keepers will conduct the talks at the animal enclosures, providing expert information on the natural habitat, diet, threats and conservation status of the Black Rhino, Cape Vulture, African Wild Dog, Western Lowland Gorilla, and a number of species of frog.

The free talks will take place at the following locations and times:

  • Rhino talk - rhino enclosure, 10:00
  • Vulture talk - vulture enclosure, 11:00
  • Wild Dog talk - Wild Dog enclosure, 12:15
  • Frog talk - Animals of the Amazon, 13:15
  • Gorilla talk - Gorilla enclosure, 14:00
