A meeting to discuss current and future management plans for the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve will be held at the reserve on Monday, 27 July.

Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve
Eleven kilometres south of Joburg's city centre, the 680-hectare Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve is home to 150 bird species, 600 plant species, wildlife including blesbok, zebra and duiker, and a rich archaeological site.

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo invites interested stakeholders, organisations and structured groups to attend the meeting and join the discussion.

As the custodians and managers of the city's public open spaces, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo hopes the meeting will encourage active community participation in finding innovative solutions to further develop the nature reserve.

The engagement of the broader community in the management of the Klipriversberg Nature Reserve will enhance the ecology and visitor experience at this landmark facility.

The meeting will start at 6pm, and attendees can enter the reserve using the corner of Peggy Vera Road and Frederick Place in Kibler Park.
