Traditionally the pastime of an older generation, gardening has evolved into a popular leisure activity to reduce stress, better the environment and reconnect with nature.

Grow Jozi: the gardening meets outdoor lifestyle show

The Grow Jozi Garden and Lifestyle Show is the perfect event to indulge your green fingers in a spectacular setting.

Taking place at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia on Saturday, 14 November, Grow Jozi will offers visitors a new take on gardening, integrating all aspects of a holistic outdoor lifestyle.

On offer will be:

  • Leaders in gardening to teach you how to create a flourishing garden.
  • The perfect nursery, consisted of selected plant sellers, to purchase your greenery from.
  • A farmers' market packed full of fresh organic vegetables, fruit and produce.

There'll also be artisan delicacies, craft beers, local wines, gardening talks, farm to table cooking demos and a vinyl fair, culminating in a night festive market full of delights for your holiday feasts and Christmas stockings.

Secure parking will available off Thomas Bowler Street. Remember that the bridge over Emmarentia Dam is still closed for renovations. Access is easy via Beyers Naude Drive, but in case you find yourself on Louw Geldenhuys Drive going past the dam, simply continue on Louw Geldenhuys (taking the first left after the bridge) and keep turning left into Linden Rd, Tana Rd, Hofmeyr Drive and 5th Ave, then keep going until you come to Thomas Bowler.
