Cyclists

JCPZ kindly requests all cyclists to equip their bicycles with bells and to make use of them when necessary to warn walkers or runners who may not be aware of your approach.

Please also note that Park Runs take place in various parks on Saturdays from 8am, with walkers gathering from as early as 7.15am. They take place just once a week.

If you happen to cycle through a park where there is a park run taking place, please slow down, take care not to ride through groups, and warn people when you approach them.

JCPZ appeals to cyclists not to ride through Delta Park on Saturday mornings between 7.30am and 10am, but to use the bottom part of the Spruit only during these times.

Dog walkers

Dog walkers, please keep your dogs on a leash at all times, and please clean up your dog's pooh. Also be aware that runners and cyclists also use the City's public parks, and make sure to walk to one side of the path - keeping left as a rule.

Runners

Runners, please be aware that cyclists also use the City's public parks, and make sure to walk to one side of the path, keeping left as a rule.

Runners using earphones, please be aware that you are not likely to hear cyclists approaching to pass you from behind, and make sure to keep to one side of the path.

Wishing all Joburg residents a healthy, communal lifestyle in all our parks!
