Training and Development Services: Bid Notice and Invitation to Bid

Johannesburg City Parks, the greening, conservation and cemetery management agency for the City of Johannesburg, requests proposals from registered qualified Training and Development Service Providers with relevant experience and expertise to provide training and development services on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of 24 months.

Minimum requirements:

  • Operate a legally registered business entity with a valid tax clearance certificate
  • Provide proof of SETA accreditation

 

Proposals should include the following information:

  • Company profile and brief CV of key personnel
    Comprehensive proposal and experience in training and development services
    Complete supplier registration form
  • Point system

The 90/10 preferential procurement point system will be applied and preference will be given to bidders who are able to demonstrate the following:

  • Black equity ownership: 3% points
  • Women equity ownership: 5% points
  • Enterprise located in Greater Johannesburg Municipality: 2% points

Horticultural 

Johannesburg City Parks, the greening, conservation and cemetery management agency for the City of Johannesburg, invites bidders from suitably registered companies for the provision of horticultural services on a contract basis over a period of 36 months.

Contractors that are currently providing similar services (grass cutting, arboriculture, horticulture, etc) to Johannesburg City Parks as envisaged in this tender advertisement and the detailed tender document are also required to re-tender their services in order to comply with the revised scope and specifications.

Scope:

  • One-stop shop for qualitative horticultural and arboriculture maintenance services
  • Herbicide control


To qualify: To qualify for consideration, bidders should be able to meet the following minimum qualification conditions:

  • Operate a legally registered business entity with a valid tax clearance certificate
  • Have suitable industrial grass-cutting and tree-pruning equipment
  • Have personal protective clothing and equipment for all its employees
  • Have public liability insurance and be registered with the COID commissioner
  • Have registered all vehicles collecting and transporting waste with the City of Johannesburg waste management unit, Wastehub.
  • Must be a fully owned and controlled BEE company
  • Auditable asset and resource register

  • Standard tree maintenance during normal and emergency call outs
  • Tree felling and removal services
